چکیده
SUMMARY A collection of transmembrane proteins with annotated transmembrane regions, for which good experimental evidence exist, was created as a test or training set for algorithms to predict transmembrane regions in proteins.

The Extractability of Inner-Membrane Proteins from Salmonella typhimurium Intact Cells, Spheroplasts and Inner-Membrane Fragments by Non-Denaturing Detergents
The effect of Triton X-100, Na cholate and Tween 80 on the solubilization of integral membrane proteins in intact cells, spheroplasts and inner-membrane fragments of Salmonella typhimurium was studied. The detergents were used in various concentrations (1.6 to 64 mM) and cytochromes b and d were used as marker to monitor the solubilization of membrane-bound proteins. Results showed that no inne...
متن کاملArabidopsis leaf plasma membrane proteome using a gel free method: Focus on receptor–like kinases
The hydrophobic proteins of plant plasma membrane still remain largely unknown. For example in the Arabidopsis genome, receptor-like kinases (RLKs) are plasma membrane proteins, functioning as the primary receptors in the signaling of stress conditions, hormones and the presence of pathogens form a diverse family of over 610 genes. A limited number of these proteins have appeard in pr...
متن کاملMonoclonal antibody HFD9 identifies a novel 28 kDa integral membrane protein on the cis-Golgi.
We have raised a monoclonal antibody (mAb) (HFD9) that detects a 28 kDa protein (p28) enriched in the Golgi membrane. p28 was localized to the perinuclear Golgi region in all cell lines thus far examined. Its Golgi localization was confirmed by its colocalization with Golgi markers using indirect immunofluorescence microscopy. Immunogold labelling demonstrates that the majority of p28 was local...
متن کاملSubcellular localisations of the CPTI collection of YFP-tagged proteins in Drosophila embryos
A key challenge in the post-genomic area is to identify the function of the genes discovered, with many still uncharacterised in all metazoans. A first step is transcription pattern characterisation, for which we now have near whole-genome coverage in Drosophila. However, we have much more limited information about the expression and subcellular localisation of the corresponding proteins. The C...
متن کاملSolvent Effect on Aquaporin4
Aquaporins are integral membrane proteins from a larger family of major intrinsic proteins that formpores in the membrane of biological cells. Aquaporins form tetramers in the cell membrane with eachmonomer acting as a water channel. In this research, the AQP4 tetramer was modeled from its PDBstructure file, then, we have performed the intraction of aquaporin4 in different temperatures (298k,300...
